I self-published two novels in 2013, a mystery titled The Etiquette of Wolves and a contemporary mainstream novel titled Love and Student Loans and Other Big Problems. In 2014, I made both of these books available in print copy as well. I used CreateSpace (owned by Amazon) so my books can be purchased through print on demand.
In April 2016, I self-published a science fiction ebook titled Mark of the Pterren. In January 2017, this novel became available in a paperback edition as well.
Mark of the PterrenĀ is also a graphic novel, and you can see images on the Facebook page Mark of the Pterren.
In January 2017, I self-published an urban fantasy starring a young woman named Eloise. Bloodshade of the Goddess is currently available as an ebook. You can even download this book for FREE on Smashwords. (Though I appreciate the financial support from anyone who purchases a copy from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.)
In March 2017, I self-published a Young Adult (YA) fantasy set in the ocean. Kinned to the Sea stars a merboy named Rowan, and the novel is currently available as an ebook. You can even download this book for FREE on Smashwords. (Though I appreciate the financial support from anyone who purchases a copy from Amazon or Barnes & Noble.)
While I would like to write my sequels to Mark of the Pterren, Bloodshade of the Goddess, and Kinned to the Sea (which is a trilogy), I started working on an all-new project, a novel of contemporary fiction, a ghost story mystery set in Colorado. I’ve completed about one-third of this novel, and hope to finish a first draft before the end of 2017.
Then I got sidetracked again, and started working on a retelling of Beauty and the Beast blended with historical fiction. As of March 2017, this is the project I choose to work on the most. (This project was not motivated by the new live-action Disney film being released this year, but I do love the Disney animated film a great deal.)
I’ve also begun a road-trip love story starring a young woman named Jordan and a young man named Ben. Their lives are all kinds of messed up and I’m in love with this book even though I’ve only written one chapter.
I’m feeling kind of scattered. My heart is a mishmash of different projects right now. But at least I’m enthusiastic about them all, even if I am disorganized.
